Diwali

Every year, in the month of October or November, the festival of lights, Diwali is celebrated. It is also known as Laxmi Pujan, Chopda Pujan, Deva Divali, Kaumudi Mahostavam, Badhausar, Karthigai Deepam, Thalai  Deepavali and Diyari. Diwali is celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month of Kartika. It also symbolizes victory of light over dark, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Most of us are unaware of the fact that Diwali is celebrated for 12 different reasons! The Abandoned House

It was a dark night and the only faint source of the light present was the moon. Ella went to sleep and had a terrifying dream…. This is what happened. The old house was covered with dust and spider webs all over. There were two windows in the front, two in the back and doors in the front and back. There were two floors.Inside the house, all the furniture was rusted, broken, to shorten it: IT WAS OLD! The paint on the walls was all chipped off, and if it was not chipped off, it was faded. The kitchen had one table, one chair and an oven/microwave. On the ground floor, there was only one bedroom which had a rusted, brown stinky bunk bed. Next to it, was a bathroom, it had footprints which looked like they were fresh! Suddenly she heard noises like doors creaking, sounds of footsteps and birds screeching as loud as possible.
