Diwali
Every year, in the month of October or November, the festival of lights, Diwali is celebrated. It is also known as Laxmi Pujan, Chopda Pujan, Deva Divali, Kaumudi Mahostavam, Badhausar, Karthigai Deepam, Thalai Deepavali and Diyari. Diwali is celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month of Kartika. It also symbolizes victory of light over dark, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Most of us are unaware of the fact that Diwali is celebrated for 12 different reasons!
